Proving once again that you can't get too complacent in the stock market today one of my most profitable stocks droppped 19 dollars -- erasing entirely all of my profit. Elan is the company. Apparently theri new wonder drug, which was to be the premier drug in the MS category, killed someone and had an adverse reaction to someone else. Argh. Though, I might buy more. I shall see how the week plays out.
Fearing that my daily reading has become too onesided (business and marketing), I have committed myself to reading one new magazine a day in a variety of topics. Today I read a few woodworking magazines and Adbusters. This was my first time reading AB and I must say I was... umm... i dunno. It's a weird magazine. However I DID learn that vaginal plastic surgery is becoming the next big craze in plastic surgery (to make the "perfect"...). "thin is in"... yeah... I find this terribly troubling. Who are these women who feel the need to have this done? How warped is their sense of self and wellbeing? As a society have we fallen so far as to demand our womenfolk prune their most private of body parts? I mean really.. this is very strange to me. Perhaps it's because I'm a male.. but I would liked to think their would be universal "WHA WHA WHA?" to this... |
